The Happy Days crew. You know who is in the middle.

Not everybody in Milwaukee likes the idea of the Fonz in Bronz.

A Milwaukee tourism group is proposing a statue of the sitcom character in downtown Milwaukee, setting of the hit '70s and '80s series "Happy Days," but some are objecting.

I could understand complaints if somebody were proposing a Ralph Malph, 'Potsie' Weber or even a Richie Cunningham statue, but the Fonz was the definition of cool.

Besides, Milwaukee already has plenty of statues. What's one more?

Here's how the Fonz stands up against some of the statues already gracing the downtown landscape:

Frederick Von Steuben: Revolutionary War hero, served with Washington at Valley Forge, credited with instilling discipline in Continental Army troops.
Fonzie: Well-known reputation as a tough guy, could scare off groups of bigger tough guys with a dirty look.

Hank Aaron: Hit 755 home runs in the Major Leagues, champ until record broken this season.
Fonzie: Able to turn on jukebox at Arnold's with a snap of the fingers.

Robert Burns: National poet of Scotland, authored 'Auld Lang Syne.'
Fonzie: American pop icon, apparently coined the expression, "Aaay."

Gandhi: Pioneer of nonviolent civil disobedience, leading to independence for India and inspiring movements across the world.
Fonzie: Known for having a legendary way with women.

Christ: Walked on water.
Fonzie: Jumped a shark while water-skiing in his leather jacket.
