What are they thinking?

Doesn't this photograph from the Associated Press make you think that these two people in the, uh, interesting hats have something amusing on their minds?

This Native American and Queen Elizabeth II encountered each other yesterday as the queen visited Jamestown, Va., on the 400th anniversary of the first permanent English settlement in America.

Maybe the queen is thinking, "He wore the same headdress last time I was here, and that was 50 years ago."

Maybe the guy in the headdress is thinking, "I can't believe she's wearing pink before Memorial Day."

Or perhaps she's musing, "That looks like something Diana would have worn."

And he could be wondering, "I could try it, but there's no way her hat would match the dead animal stick in my hand."
